How we're building this, step by step
Phase 1 — Now

When an agent creates a listing on TrustHaven, they must declare their agency fee before the listing goes live. This fee is displayed on every listing card — before you spend a single credit to unlock the contact number.

To earn the Verified Agent badge, agents must agree to: a maximum agency fee of 50% of one month's rent, zero displacement fees, and that the fee declared on TrustHaven matches what they collect in person. Violations reported by seekers trigger an immediate review.
Phase 3 — Future
PlannedIn-platform deal confirmation
After finding a place through TrustHaven, seekers confirm the outcome: Did you move in? Did the agent charge what was declared? This builds a public honesty score for every agent over time.

The Verified Agent badge is earned — not bought. Agents who carry it have agreed to TrustHaven's Fee Code: declare fees upfront, charge only what was declared, and never demand a displacement fee.

If a Verified Agent charged you a displacement fee, demanded more than their declared agency fee, or behaved dishonestly — we want to know. We review every report within 24 hours and revoke badges on confirmed violations. Repeat offenders are permanently banned.
